We are very excited to announce that our CEO and Founder, Kristy Chong has been nominated for the NSW BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR.
With hundreds of entrants, a panel of leading NSW women have named four women finalists in each of seven categories, selected from hundreds of nominations.
The NSW Business Woman of the Year Award recognises excellence in business in NSW and women who provide outstanding leadership and inspiration for other women to succeed.
CEO, creator of Modibodi™, mum of 3, fash-tech entrepreneur and social advocate for women’s health issues and rights; Kristy is a truly inspiring woman.
With over 13 years in senior PR roles for organisations including McDonald’s Australia, sanofi-aventis and Edelman PR, Kristy’s worked with some of the biggest brands in the business.
Fast forward to 2011, when the concept of launching her own business ignited. After the birth of her second child, Kristy’s experience with “unmentionable” bladder leaks made her determined to start her own brand. One that would change our mindsets – and the planet! – by changing underwear for the better. This ambition saw her design, develop and scientifically prove her patented Modifier Technology™ leak-proof undies and transform this into the Modibodi™ collection: a reusable, sustainable range of leak-proof undies, created to liberate us all from endless amounts of landfill.
Kristy’s vision is to build a brand that makes the world better by empowering every bodi to make real, positive change. As part of this vision, Modibodi™ has created their Give a Pair Initiative which aims to provide disadvantaged women with Modibodi underwear that is sustainable and reusable to empower them at the times they need it. For every Give a Pair voucher purchased, Modibodi will donate two pairs of Modibodi underwear to women’s shelters and women in need across Australia throughout the year.
