Sustainability

CLIMATE ACTION, CIRCULAR DESIGN AND RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

Our Thoughtfully-made reusable products were created as an alternative to single-use disposables and designed with product longevity, reusability and performance in mind so you can tread a little lighter on the earth.  We want our products to be accessible to all, safely and without shame so we launched our Give A Pair program and together Modibodi, our partners and customers strive to contribute closing the menstrual health gap.

MODIBODI. THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED.

At Modibodi, we believe sustainability should be part and parcel of everything we do.
That’s why we’ve re-thought our packaging – keeping your products protected while lowering our impact on the planet.

Packaged with (recycled) care

Paper packaging

Our garment packaging is made from 100% recyclable paper (PAP 21), so you can simply pop them into your everyday recycling.

Recycled plastic packaging
Some of our products are protected in LDPE (#4) polybags and mailer bags. Made with 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, it gives plastic a second life instead of creating more of it.

A less-is-best approach
We don’t believe in excess, so every piece of packaging is designed to:

  • Use only what’s needed to reduce waste.
  • Be recyclable wherever possible.
  • Protect your garments so they last longer.

Materials that meet strict safety standards

We like to keep things safe and smart. Our materials are regularly tested to meet strict industry standards and substance limits. We're always checking, testing, and improving. Making sure our packaging meets global requirements – including the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

From inks to components, everything is chosen with care – meeting recognised safety standards and thoughtfully selected to do better by you and the planet.

What to do when you remove the packing:
It may seem small, but every action adds up to make a positive difference for our planet.

  • Paper (PAP 21) – recycle with paper.
  • Polybags (LDPE #4) – recycle via soft-plastic programs (if your area offers them).

Making positive progress
We don’t claim to be perfect. That’s why we’re continually working to:

  • Use better recycled materials and reduce unnecessary packaging.
  • Explore lower environmental impact alternatives

CLIMATE ACTION

We believe all businesses have a responsibility to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve climate change literacy - including us.
Our priority is to find opportunities within our supply chain to reduce emissions and invest in initiatives to track and monitor our progress.

CIRCULAR DESIGN

Our product design and fibre choices influence our environmental footprint. We know much of this impact stems from the raw materials we use, so we take the time to understand their impact. Our goal is to source fibres that support healthy agriculture practices or meet circular design principles.

RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

We know the textile supply chain has a significant environmental impact, which is why we invest time and energy to nurture our supplier partnerships and source from responsible manufacturers. Our code of conduct is central to working with Tier 1 suppliers and the first part in supporting them to make continual improvements.
