Why Campgyno is great for us women

I was absolutely thrilled to come across the #campgyno video that has been going viral this week. Not only is the video very funny but to see a young girl talk so openly about getting your periods is just so great. I take my hat off to the company behind it.

Beyond periods women experience many other discreet issues down in the vaginal area, such as heavy discharge, excessive perspiration, incontinence, light bladder leakage, thrush, urinary tract infections, vaginal odour and the list goes on.

As the owner of an underwear label that provides a stylish and comfortable solution to some of these issues, I hope we can all see that yes it can be gross, but there is nothing taboo about these subjects. I also hope young girls and women can see there is nothing to be ashamed of, they are normal and they are not alone. Interestingly 1 in 3 women who have experienced childbirth will develop some form of incontinence, but I know that the average woman on the street feels like the only one with the issue.

So let's keep on talking, as the more we talk about these taboo issues the more we can feel normal and then we can focus on talking about the solutions and that is surely a good thing.
